.... 2 days left in OZ, 4 days left before I meet my parents n my grandmother
Let's go on a roadtrip
Yesterday we arrived in Melbourne after a 3 day car drive from Sydney with Isabella, Natalie n our 2 jucy cars. We had a great time with bbq's, broken car doors and music playing on the highest level! But our luck changed a bit after one hour in Melbourne... We parked the cars and went to pay for our hostel accomondation n stoped by a internet cafe on the way back. When we went back to the cars Johanna suddenly stops and says "where is the other car!?... Isen't that one ours..???". We all ran across the street to find our car loaded on a tow truck!
Linnea - "Excuse me... but that car is ours"
Tow truck driver - "I'm taking this car to the pound"
Linnea - "But if u get donut's can we get our car back then, pretty please??"
Tow truck driver - "No sorry it's coming to me"
Fuck it's hard to bride these guys! Anyway we jump in the other car which has recived a parking fine on $141...
In the car we all burst out in laughter cause seriously this only happens in movies, and on top of that all of us r struggeling to survive our last remaing days here, so we can't afford these things to happen!
Well at the pound we paid $342 to bail out the car from a fat dude, probably other backpackers have tried to bride him with donuts aswell?... Plus another parking fine on $141 FML!!!
When we return to St Kilda we drove around 20 minutes to find a parking place where we won't risk losing our car again. We finaly find one near to Elephant bar, perfect!
After steeling some hugs from our german mates Julius n Erik who it's always a pleasure too met n taking a longed for warm shower since we all smell p-r-e-t-t-y bad after 3 days (except Bella ofc who always smell good! ;) ) we have the biggest car party ever, singing 'because I got high' on the top of our lungs! I mean this nite just can't get bad since we had a hell of a day earlier... well atleast we think so before Natalie opens the cars sun roof and we can't shut it again. But it's always nice sleeping under a starry sky with not so many stars and a bit of rain... and especially wakin up the following morning with one more parking fine since Johanna put the parking ticket UP SIDE DOWN!! Seriously who bad luck can we get???????
Thank god we have returned the cars now! Think a dinner at Glendas place tonite will treat us good, n dudes I promise u we will take to tram this time!

On our way to Josh new cribe
We just arrived to Sydney after 14h bus ride from Byron. The ride was terrible, the bus was full n it was so warm.. So we couldn't really get a g´nite sleep.
So back in Sydney we r now on our way to Josh place to stay there over the nite. Best english dude ever! 2mrw we r heading down to Melbourne with Natalie n Bella. We can't wait !
But first a movie nite n some beers with Josh!

BTW... I was bleeding nose bleed today... I think it's my first time... I tried to put a piece of paper inside my nose. But the paper was to small so I snorted it up.... So the fact of the day, don't use a small pieces of paper when u having nose bleed.

New world record, G'bye Michael Phelps n Hello Johanna n Linnéa
One night left in Byron before we head down to Sydney to meet up Bella n Natalie for a road trip down to Melbourne. We have hired a relocation camper van down to Melbourne for free, ohh happy days. U can find a lot of companys and private people that need their cars n camper vans transported to different locations around Australia n New Zeland @ http://www.transportcars.com.au/. Our plans in Melbourne is to meet up all our friends, hug our aussie mom n not to be forgotten give Elephant bar a well needed dance off one last time. We r gonna tear the place dooown!!
We had an awesome time here in Byron n we r so glad that we headed up. We have nothing to complain about except the waves. The waves have been really bad, so we never really had good surf except the first days in Lennox. We have been thinking about if we r gonna bring our surfboards back to Sweden or try to sell them. A surf dude told us that the surfboards r really good n we can get a lot of money for them, around $600 per board. Both of us r in love with our boards n what could really be a better souviener? So Torö Stenstrand here we come to shread some sweet waves! Sorry mum n pap, hope we have room!
Anyway, have u heard the big news?? We beat Michael Phelps world record for two days ago... We were playing around in the waves @ Tallow Beach who delivered some lovely weather, when suddenly Linnéa saw a big black fin around three surfers just 3m away from us when she started shouting "Johanna it's something in the water.. I don't know if it's a surfboard or a shark.." Seconds after the surfers shouted SHARK SHARK SHARK. We swam the fastest we could back to dry land. The shark was around 2 meter long n man we almost wet our pants... We don't know if this is the coolest we have been through or the scariest..We can't finish the story better then: We have been swimming with a shark - CHECK !

I tried to log in @ my facebook n my email this morning but I couldn't log in. Some immature person has changed my password... I'm so fucking angry. I have everything @ my email - our bookingnr to our car down to Melbourne, our ticket to Thailand, our bookingnr to the hotel i Bangkok n our ticket home to Sweden.... YEAH, everything we need !! Yey, we r stuck in Byron now. Oh Happy Day !

Mount Everest is the highest mountain on earth, with a peak at 8848 metres. The height of this mountan describes our happiness for the moment. We can't complain about anything. Byron Bay n it's surfing makes us so happy! The music, the people n the atmosphere is incredible. If u get burned out - go to Byron ! The best medicin for u, trust us!
Today we had our first surf lesson with a group of peeps who were there for the same reason as us - living life! The day was awesome n the condition of the waves couldn't be much better. We both stood up today and after a while shredded some sweet waves out there. We can't until tomorrow!
We r so sore n hungry now. So we will see if the bed seems more appealing tonite or a nite out to Cheeky Monkey's ! Hang Lose Peeps!

... and woops we r back in Byron Bay!
Lately we have had panic that our trip in OZ soon is coming to it's end. We have 2.5 weeks left before our plan to Thailand depatures and we were walking around in Bondi and just waiting for that day to come. A bit depressing right?? But a skype call with Johanna's mom made us realize that the time we have left is more than a normal holiday for many others. So we decided to go back to the place we loved most! We r spending 8 days here with 2 days surfcamp on the schedule aswell as meeting up old buddys that will be arriving the next couple of days before we hop on the 14h busride back to Bondi, to meet up Bella and Natalie for a roadtrip down to Melbourne. So yes we r still livin the dream!

Back in Sydney
For two days ago it was a big day! It was Linnea’s 20 years b-day! I woke up early in the morning with a massive hangover n started to bake a pancake cake to Linnea. It was the worst 2 hours in my life in the kitchen, but it was worth it! Me, David n Nico sang for Linnea n god she was so hangover! All of us had a massive hangover the whole day n we could go up from our beds. In the afternoon phone rang, it was Julius n Erik. They told us that they just arrived to Sydney n they r up for a massive party. So... we did our makeup n headed in to Darling Harbour to met up all the guys. Oh god, everyone were so dressed up n we looked so good! We decided to eat at Hard Rock Cafe with a view over Sydney. We had such a good time n after a while Sara (our old floorball coach. Who is here to study) joined us. We headed to Kings Cross for party. But the night didn’t last so long. Everyone was so tired n yeah I think everyone was still hangover...
Today we were out for a 2 hours PW between Bondi n Cooge. It is a beautiful walk by the sea n the massive rocks.
2nite we r gonna heading in to Kings Cross to meet up Bella (A girl I worked with at Hemfrid) to party the whole night! So guys, let’s pour the goon!
Hunter Valley
The next stop was Hunter Valley n Keith n Elisabeth’s olive farm. When mum n dad visited Australia for 25 years ago they visited them n now it was mine, Linnea, David n Nicos’ turn. We hadn´t have high expectations about the farm, but the farm was massive, the house was so exclusive n beautiful n the landscape was incredible. Keith n Elisabeth are a lovely couple n they welcomed us with open arms. The plan was just to stay there over the day but we got the option to stay there over the nite in their B&B rooms. Oh god, the beds were great n they gave us such good food, alcohol n a good laugh!
At the end we decided to stay one night more. The last day we went vine tasting in Hunter Valleys area. It was nice n u learnt a lot about vine! We came back to the farm around 3 o clock in the afternoon n then we helped them on the farm to cut down olives trees. At the nite we baked some PIZZA together n had a such a good laugh!
I think all of us ended up having Keith n Elisabeth as role models. Keith left England as a youngster with just 300 dollars in his bank account n today he is a big business man. Both of them were so happy n had a lot of energy. I think that all of us understood that everything is about will n believe in your dreams!

Port Macquarie n New Castle - the towns with whales, dolphins n a Torsten !
We stayed in Port Macquarie for one nite. When the twilight came we went out to the beah for some exercise, after 1 hour we couldn't walk, we were so tired. Our gentlemen had made us dinner by the beach with a view of whales playing around in the sea. Since the beach showers were closed n the smell from our armpits started to get really bad, we headed into town to look after a shower. We first drove around n asked at the hostels if we can use their showers, but we just got a big NO NO.. We tried with Motels instead, but it was still NO NO. Then Nico came up with a brilliant idea that we can stop at RYDGES (a expensive hotel). We went into the hotel n shamefully asked the guy in the reception. Belive it or not, he said YES ! Undescribable feelin to shower in a clean shower.
The day after we headed down to New Castle to supprize Torsten (our room mate from Cairns). We spent the whole day on the beach n played some volleyboll n worked on our tans. At the afternoon we visted Sven (my grandmother's neighbours son) and his family in their house. It was halloween so the kids were dressed up as witches and skelletons. Good time, like every day !

A nightmare, oh fuck it was for real!
3 hours south of Byron Bay is the town of Coffs Harbour were we experienced the worst night of our lives... We found a beautiful parking spot by the beach were we decided to stay for the night. When it started to darken we made tacos for dinner n took out the deck of cards for a round of poker. We had a great time and jealously spread in the car when Linnea managed to get a straight flush, snap!
When all of us were tucked in bed we saw a strange man walk past the car a headed for the forest behind the public toilett building. After a few minutes he appears again but this time running away towards the city. Suddenly a women walks up from the beach and heads for the same place the guy left just minutes ago... All of a sudden from the dark forest we heared a women's terrified scream and she comes out from behind the toilet's crying and then she aswell startes to run towards the city. By this time we were all shaken from the event that just occurred, johanna was almost crying from fear! Okey... she was crying if im to be honest with u. But it doesn't end there... Parked on the right side of our car is a white car with a lady whose been sitting there for atleast 1 hour just staring down at her phone. I mean seriously who parks their car in the middle of nowhere to look at their phone??? Eighter she has a massive facebook habit or she is isen't the sharpest tool in the shield so to say... PSYCHO!
Finaly we fell asleep holding hands since we where shit faced scared. In the morning while having breakfast Nico told us that he saw the police there at night. We never had the courage to check behind the toilet building but seriously wtf happened?? But kids don't think the story ends here cause when we r to leave this creepy place our car won't start!! Plus we discover that we have rat poo in the car eeeeeewwwww. We tried to jump start the car with some help from labour workers and the car started. We start to drive away from the night mare but soon realize that the car dosen't accelearet more then 20 km/h. So we decide to stop and call the road assistance who r with us after just 20 minutes and manages to get our car fixed and running again wooopedidooo!

Byron Bay n Nimbin - I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
We stayed in Byron for 4 nites n we spent a lot of time with 4 awesome guys. We surfed a lot n at the end we finaly stood up. U can't imagine the feeling to stand up n catch the wave! Though it just lasted a few seconds, it was a big step in our career. We totaly love the Byron atmosphere, it's unspeakable! All surfers wake up early in the morning to catch the first wave. Then they spend the whole day on the beach n when night arrives everyone goes out for a massive party! N guys the best thing.. Is all the hot surf dudes. OMG...!
The last day we went to Nimbin together. Nimbin is a town 1 hour west of Byron n nothing u can ever imagine. All the people in the village were really stoned n it was just coloured houses. It was a wired feeling walking down the street n wiered people coming up to u the whole time n tried to sell drugs. U could see kids playing around while their parents where standing in the corner of the streets saying "come buy acid, muchrooms, weed, cookies...". It is a lot different from what u r used to back home, but it was interesting seeing something different. Recommended if u want to experience something u never knew existed!
